"Since attending Peter's self defence course I am much more aware of potential dangers in many and often daily situations which I hadn't seriously considered until now.We learnt ways of thinking about situations in order to avoid unnecessary risk and ways to physically remove ourselves should we find ourselves in danger. But rather than making me scared or paranoid about being a woman in the world, the effect was one of empowerment.
